Day One

Wednesday 9 April


 
 

MC - The fruit nerd, thanh truong

He's back! Our beloved resident produce expert, Thanh Truong is coming back to the Little Food Festival as MC for day one!

Thanh (or Fruit Nerd Thanh as you may know him) is a fourth generation fruiterer, author of the best-selling Don't Buy Fruit or Veg Without Me, host of Field to Feast on SBS and so much more! He's also a long-time supporter of the Little Food Festival, and we can't wait to have him back to share his produce tips and tricks at Fed Square!

 

 

Wednesday 9 April

Morning

10:15am - 10:30am: Acknowledgement of Country

10:30am - 11:00am: Official opening with special guests

11:15am - 11:45am: From orchard to the fruit bowl, with the Fruit Nerd and Jazz apples

Afternoon

12:00pm - 12:30pm: The Great Unwaste with MasterChef star, Mandy Hall

12:45pm - 1:00pm: Amazing stage performance to be advised … watch this space!

1:40pm - 2:10pm: George the Farmer, presented by Rabobank Australia

2:20pm - 2:45pm: Nutrition Q&A with fan favourite Melbourne Victory players, presented by AIA Australia

3:00pm - 3:30pm: It starts with a seed, with the Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden Foundation

4:00pm: Kick back with a family film, Paddington

MC - costa, the garden gnome

Who's that gnome running around Fed Square? It can only be our MC for day two of the Little Food Festival... Costa!

The host of Gardening Australia, Get Grubby TV, landscape architect, author and soil health lover, Costa Georgiadis Official has been educating kids and parents alike about the joys of gardening for years, and is one of Australia's most loved TV presenters.
