Clay Mini Beasts*

Harnessing kids’ creative spirits, this workshop will bring natural seeds, eucalyptus pods and gumnuts to life through the creation of imaginative Clay Mini Beasts. This workshop will run from 10:30am - 2:30pm.


Worm Power!

An interactive worm farm experience from Worm Lovers for all ages covering practical aspects of worm farming. Kids will learn about the importance of worms for the environment, and for transforming organic waste into wonderful nutrients for healthy soil, healthy food, and healthy communities.


Seed Planting*

Learn how to plant an edible garden in biodegradable pots with garden specialist and teacher Natasha Grogan. This workshop will run from 10:30am - 2:30pm.


Grab a book, sit back, and recharge on the bean bags in Fed Square. There will be a large range of children’s book on gardening, health and sustainability to explore. A scheduled story time for 0-5 year olds, and 6 and up will take place each day at: 10.30, 11.30, 12.30, 13.30, and 14.30.

Discover the lifespan of waste and practise ways to help reduce your impact on the environment based on the 4Rs – Refuse, Reduce, Reuse and Recycle. Kids will have great fun upcycling a plastic bottle into a plant pot, and an awesome bubble blower!

Bee an Eco Warrior


Make your own pedal powered smoothies! Kids can jump on the bike and make smoothies from rescued fruit and veggies donated from Lentil as Anything.

Engage your senses and your playful side with this exhibition brought to you by the team at Monash University. The Schooling Food Exhibition invites people of all ages to think about how messages about nutrition, food and health have changed over time. Throughout the two days, we'll be running a number of interactive activities. On Wednesday, you can participate in 'My School Food Rules' where you tell us what you think of school food rules.

As you zip around virtual Melbourne, you will identify and cultivate spaces to grow food, ways to reduce food waste, create bee friendly spaces & more.
